Physico-chemical characters of eighth aonla cultivars, viz. Banarasi, Chakaiya, Kanchan, Krishna, NA-6, NA-7, NA-8 and NA-9 were evaluated for their suitability to processing industry. Fruit weight varied from 29.83 to 48.05 g, pulp content from 90.35 to 94.90 per cent, fibre and seed content varied from 1.10 to 2.50 per cent and 4.20 to 7.60 per cent, respectively. Moisture content of aonla fruit varied from 81.60 to 85.60 per cent while total soluble solids and acidity content varied from 10.00 to 14.30 per cent and 1.7 to 2.2 per cent, respectively. Vitamin C content of aonla cultivars ranged from 690.9 to 881.80 mg/100 g. Based on physico-chemical characters of fruit NA-7 and Chakaiya showed better potentiality for processing industry.
