Flowering and fruiting in kair (Capparis decidua Roth.) under southern Haryana conditions

Kair (Capparis decidua Roth) is a fruit plant grown in wild state in arid and semiarid regions of the country. In southern Haryana conditions, flower initiation was observed on 28^th March. Peak flowering was recorded on 6^th April with 18 days of flowering duration. Fruit set began on 3^rd April with 16 days of fruit set duration. 21 days were taken to maturity after full bloom. Colour break stage was observed on 30^th April and 27 days were taken to ripening from the bloom.
