Abstract

The present studies were conducted at Horticultural Research Centre, Patherchatta, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar during the year 2003 on Litchi cv. Rose Scented with the aim to increase the survivability of rooted layers. The experiment consisted of 8 treatments (5 levels of IBA i.e. 0, 250, 500, 750 & 1000 ppm and three different containers for planting i.e. nursery bed, polybag and root trainers). Among all treatments IBA 1000 ppm and root trainer as a container were found better for survival and establishment of litchi layers.
