Abstract

A study on effect of paclobutrazol and gibberellic acid on physico chemical characters of sweet cherry cv. Misri was undertaken at Division of Pomology SKUAST(K), Shalimar. Paclobutrazol (PBZ) was applied through soil as per trunk diameter in early spring and gibberellic acid as foliar spray at full bloom for two consecutive years. Fruit length, breadth, L/D ratio, volume, weight and acidity decreased while as fruit organoleptic rating, total soluble solids, reducing sugars and total sugars were increased by the application of paclobutrazol. Gibberellic acid (GA3) modified the effect of paclobutrazol.
