Transfer of farm worth technologies to the farmers is the need of hour and vital for harnessing the fruits of research. Training of farmers is a critical input for the rapid transfer of horticultural technology. In this context, training plays an important role in adoption of horticulture as an enterprise This paper revisits the issue of the participation of farmers in the training programmes to improve farm productivity. The study conducted to analyze the participation of farmers in the trainings reveals that maximum participation of the farmers was observed during the year 1996. Year wise participation studied reveals that Horticulture and Livestock were emerged out as most preferred disciplines among farmers during all the study years. It may be because in hills, horticulture is the main area in which farmers remain involved throughout the year.
