Abstract

Physico-chemical characters of twenty four genotypes of ber were studied. Among the genotype, Chhuhara had highest number of fruits per kilogram, while Noki had highest fruit size and stone length. Umran topped the others in fruit weight, volume, flesh content and flesh: stone ratio. The maximum stone breadth and titratable acidity was found in Sanaur 3 whereas Sanaur 5 has maximum stone: breadth ratio. Total soluble solids were higher in Nazuk while ZG 3 possessed the maximum TSS: acid ratio. Kala Gola had highest ascorbic acid content of fruit flesh.
