Highest blooming intensity was recorded in Frantoio followed by Coratina, Cornicobra and Leccino respectively. The proportion of perfect flowers are maximum in Frantoio and minimum in Cornicobra. Freshly dehisced pollen grains of these cultivars appeared to be golden yellow to the naked eyes but have shown minor differences in their size and viability. The peak period of stigma receptivity was found on the day of anthesis and remained so until one day after anthesis.
