Effect of bio-fertilizers and zinc on growth, yield and quality of sprouting broccoli (Brassica oleraceae var. italica L.)

From the study on effect of bio-fertilizers on growth, yield and quality of sprouting broccoli (Brassica oleraceae var. italica L.) it is established that application of different bio-fertilizers and zinc levels enhanced the growth, yield and quality of sprouting broccoli except days taken to central head initiation in comparison to control. Application of 20 kg ZnSO₄ and inoculation with Azotobacter + PSB was observed the best treatment in terms of yield of broccoli head yield (223.40 q/ha and 237.15 q/ha), net returns (Rs. 293233 and Rs. 313335) and B:C ratio (7.00:1 and 7.39:1).
