An experiment was conducted to find out the effect of time and method of propagation in mango (Mangiferaindica L.) cv. Baneshan where the pretreated scion sticks were subjected to graftage during different months viz., 1st fortnight August (M1), 2nd fortnight August (M2), 1st fortnight September (M3), 2nd fortnight September (M4), 1st fortnight October (M5), 2nd fortnight October (M6), 1st fortnight November (M7), 2nd fortnight November (M8). The results indicated that among the different methods of propagation viz., veneer grafting and T-budding, T-budding is a complete failure in mango and can be successfully propagated through veneer grafting. Among different months of propagation, 2nd fort night of September followed by 1st fortnight of September were best months which recorded minimum number of days for bud break, maximum new scion length, diameter, internodal length, number of flushes, number of leaves, number of new laterals and length of new laterals which was significantly superior to November and December months due to the prevalence of favourable temperature and optimum relative humidity in September month under Southern Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh.
