An investigation was carried out during the winter season 2012-13 at the Horticulture Department, College of Agriculture, Rewa (M.P) to study the effect of dates of pruning on yield and quality of guava under high density planting. There were six dates of pruning starting from 15th April, 2012 up to 15th June, 2012. The most suitable time for pruning in guava variety Allahabad Safeda was 1st June to 15th June. The equally maximum fruit yield ranged from 103.74 to 104.24 q/ha. Pruning on 1st June resulted in maximum TSS (13.03° brix) and minimum acidity (0.38 %), whereas 15th June pruning gave the reverse picture where TSS was minimum (12.03° brix) and acidity was maximum (0.51 %). The physical fruit properties were found almost identical in case of 1st and 15th June pruning.
