Growth and yield response of garlic under different fertilizer combination in Gothgaun, Nepal

A field experiment was conducted in agriculture farm of Girija Prasad Koirala College of Agriculture and Research Centre (GPCAR) Gothagaun, Morang to study the effect of fertilizer combinations on growth and yield of garlic. The garlic variety, Gothgaun Local, in combination with five different fertilizer combinations (viz., 125:50:50 kg/ha NPK only, NPK + 15 tha⁻¹ FyM, NPK + 2.5 tha⁻¹ Mustard oil cake, NPK + 2.5 kgha⁻¹ Borax, NPK + 6 kgha⁻¹ micronutrient) was grown in field following Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) layout and replicated four times during November,2020 to April,2021. Results showed that the combination of NPK with borax (3.53 tha⁻¹) and Mustard oil cake (3.53tha⁻¹) has significant high yield in comparison with rest of the treatment. Thus, fertilizer combination has significant influenced on plant height, root length and yield of Garlic.
