Response of INM on plant growth and floral parameters of pomegranate
Abstract
The study was carried out on pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) cv. ‘Bhagwa’ to investigate efficacy of different fertilizers on plant growth and floral parameters of pomegranate during the year 2020-21 and 2021-22. Different doses of RDF50%,75%,100%,FYM,Biofertilizers were evaluated against control. Following a randomized complete block design, 22 treatments with 3 replications were maintained. The results of the experiment revealed that among the different treatments application of t21 -100% RDF + FYM + Azotobacter + PSB resulted in maximum plant height (3.72), canopy spread (2.96m), floral parameters such as pollen viability (93.48%), Days to flowering (135), Flowering duration (42.09), No. of flowers/shoot (71.0), Percentage of male flowers (41.89), Hermaphrodite (54.83) flowers, intermediate flowers (3.29) were significantly affected by different organic amendments and biofertilizers treatment against control. Treatment t21 -100% RDF + FYM + Azotobacter + PSB proved most effective in enhancing plant growth and floral behaviour of pomegranate. This treatment gave best result by increasing the nutritional status of the plant through the beneficial effects of different fertilizers.
