Influence of integrated nutrient management on fruiting, yield and physico-chemical attributes of aonla cultivar NA-7

Abstract

An experiment was carried out in the Garden, Department of Fruit Science, C. S. Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur (U.P.) India, during 2024 using nine treatments viz., T1-75% RDF of NPK + 2.5 kg vermicompost, T2-75% RDF + 4.5 kg vermicompost, T3-75% RDF + 2.5 kg vermicompost + 100g Azotobacter, T4- 75% RDF + 4.5 kg vermicompost + 100g Azotobacter, T5-75% RDF+ 2.5 kg vermicompost + 100g PSB, T6-75% RDF + 4.5 kg vermicompost + 100g PSB, T7-75% RDF + 2.5 kg vermicompost + 100g Azotobacter + 100g PSB, T8-75% RDF + 4.5 kg vermicompost + 100g Azotobacter + 100g PSB including a control(T0) treatment i.e., 100% RDF on twenty-four years old aonla cv. NA-7 trees, replicated thrice in a Randomized Block Design. From the experiment, it is recorded that the application of 75% RDF + 4.5 kg Vermicompost +100g Azotobacter +100g PSB (T8) significantly maximize fruit set (42.56%), reduces fruit drop (65.67%) with increased fruit retention (34.33%), fruit yield (80.88kg/plant), fruit length (3.99cm), width (4.79cm), volume (48.30cc), weight (49.85g), pulp weight (47.95g), TSS (13.350Brix), ascorbic acid (598.98mg/100g pulp), total sugars (7.20%) with minimum stone weight (1.90g) and titratable acidity (1.32%) followed by 75% RDF of NPK + 2.5kg vermicompost + 100g Azotobacter +100g PSB (T7) as compared to control (T0) treatment in the plains of northern India.
