Abstract

A new laboratory technique based on aphid growth rate has been evolved for screening aphid resistance of patato varieties. Of the ten Indian potato varieties hybrids tested, K-2500, Kufri Shakti, Kurri Badshah, SLB-Z/405(a), Kufri Jyoti, Kufri Jeevan & Kufri Alankar were found Resistant; Kufri Chandramukhi was Moderately susceptible, and Kufri Sheetman & Kufri Sindhuri as Susceptible for Myzus persicae (Sulz.).
