A simple arrangement for accurate determination of specific gravity of potato tubers has been developed. The method is sensitive and accurate up to 0.001 units of specific gravity. The arrangement can be used both for a fixed load as well as for a variable load without making any change in the arrangement. On an average it required 3 minutes to determine specific gravity of one sample.
