The experiment was conducted at three locations i.e. Hissar, Kharindwa and Ucbani during 1977–78 and 1978–79. The results at Hissar were consistent duting both the years and the optimum combination of N-175.5, P-98, K-97 kg/ha (average over two years) gave the yield of 422.65 Q/ha. The optimum combinatIon of N, P and K at Kharindwa during 1977–78 was 263, 191 and 161 kg/ha, respectively, with the yield of 418.70 Q/ha. Quadratic response to N and linear to P and K was observed at Kharindwa during 1978–79. The response of N, P and K was linear at Uchani during both the years.
