Treatment of seed tubers with gibberellic acid (GA3) significantly increased the number of stem/m2; total number of tubers; yield and number of medium sized tubers and significantly reduced the yield and number of large sized tubers and average tuber weight in two cultivars, viz., Kufri Lalima and Kufri Bahar of potato. The results showed that the treatment of seed tubers with 10 ppm GA solution can be successfully employed for producing more uniform medium sized tubers in varieties normally having high proportion of large size tubers in their produce.
