Field experiments were conducted at Birsa Agricultural University Farm, kanke during 1977–78 and 1978–79 to study the effect of planting and harvesting dates on yield and yield attributes of potatoes (kufri Chandramukhi and kufri Sindhuri). October 30 planting gave higher yield than earlier or later plantings. Tuber yield increased with delay in harvesting. Kufri Chandramukhi gave an average 12.3g/ha less yield than kufri Sindhuri.
