Studies were carried out to assess the NPK uptake at different growth stages by potato cv. Kufri Jyoti in sandy loam soil to a certain fertilizer treatments. Fertilizer application significantly increased the NPK uptake in different plant parts at various growth stages. The uptake by haulms and roots declined with maturity. Tubers continued the uptake till maturity. Adequate nutrient supply was essential throughout the growing period. The NPK uptake ranged from 68.67 to 128.19, 6.08 to 11.31 and 98.70 to 184.58 kg/ha respectively in different treatments. Tubers constituted 73.0 to 76.0% total N, 80.9 to 83.4% total P and 69.8 to 73.0% total K removed by the plant.
