Resistance to Pseudomonas solanacearum of potato clones developed at international potato centre - II

Hybrids derived from colombian diploid Pseudomonas resistant Solanum phureja with adaptability to hot tropics and/or resistance to late blight were tested in the infested field of up-country intermediate zone. The lines 77/16 and 86/20 were found to have high tolerant level of over 90% with moderate level of resistance to late blight; these could be released as varieties to the up-country dry zone where bacterial wilt & late blight are a problem.
