Phosphorus application increased the tuber yield significantly by increasing the size of tubers. Tuber yield increased as the level of P increased upto 50 kg/ha. Amongst different methods of application, double band placement was superior to single band placement and broadcasting. It also increased the uptake of P by the potato plant.
