Application of K fertilizer significantly increased the tuber yield. The yield increased progressively with the increasing levels of K upto 100 kg/ha and on the production of large, medium and small sized tubers. Band placement of K was superior to broadcasting in increasing the tuber yield and increased the uptake of K by the potato plant.
