Thirteen advance generation promising potato hybrids along with Kufri Chandramukhi as control were evaluated for tuber yield at 60 and 90 days harvest for 3 consecutive seasons during 1982–83 to 1984–85 in N.W. plains. Wide genetic variability was observed among the genotypes for tuber yield at 90 days and for increase in tuber yield during 60 to 90 days period bill the same was not true for iuber yield at 60 days. Genotype × environment interaction was significant for tuber yield at 60 and 90 days and increase in tuber yield during 60 to 90 days which altered the ranking of the genotypes in different years. The hybrids JI-5857, JI-1808 and JH-222 showed promise and hence can be utilized in potato improvement programme for the region.
