The field investigations were conducted at Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar to study the efficacy of different herbicidal combinations on weed control and tuber yield of Potato cv. Kufri Chandramukhi. The treatments comprised of nitrofen + simazine (0.75 + 0.125 kg/ha), alachlor + simazine (1.25 + 0.125 kg/ha), nitrofen + metribuzin (0.75 + 0.5 kg/ha), alachlor + metribuzin (1.25 + 0.5 kg/ha), fluchloralin + paraquat (0.75 + 0.25 kg/ha) and fluchloralin + bentazon (0.75 + 0.5 kg/ha) alongwith two hand weedings and weedy check. All the herbicidal combinations and two hand weedings treatments controlled weeds and increased tuber yield significantly over weedy check during both the years. Treatments where alachlor or nitrofen were combined with simazine or metribuzin were better in controlling weeds and improving tuber yield. These herbicidal combinations increased the yield from 41.2 to 86.7 per cent over weedy check.
