Field experiments were conducted at Central Potato Research Institute, Shimla during 1982 and 1983 to study the effect of planting and harvesting dates on tuber yield of variety Kufri Jyoti at 1800 and 2760 m MSL. Planting on 22 April at 1800 m MSL and 18 May at 2700 m MSL gave higher yields than later plantings. Delay in harvesting significantly increased tuber yield.
