Abstract

Potato vearieties were grown at Jullundur, Patna and Rajgurunagar (Poona) during crop years 1969–70 and 1970–71. The dry matter content of potato tuber was determined after harvest.

Significant differences were observed in the dry matter content of potato varieties grown at the same place, and also' between the places.

‘Kufri Sindhuri’, contained the highest amount of dry matter whereas ‘C 2703, contained the least. Varieties grown at Rajurunaga contained the highest amount of dry matter but when grown at Jullundur, they contained the lowest amount of dry matter.
