Field trials conducted at Central Potato Research Station, Rajgurunagar (pune) revealed that fortnightly spraying of monocrotopos, phenthoate, chlorpyriphos, fenitrothion, phoxim, permethrin, cypermethrin, deltamethrin and fenvalerate, respectively @ 0.60, 0.75, 0.50, 1.0, 0.50, 0.125, 0.100, 0.0125, 0.200 kg (a.i.)/ha were effective in reducing the infestation of potato tuber moth on potato crop grown in kharif season. It is suggested that either of these insecticides should be applied first on the appearance of pest and repeated twice or thrice depending upon the persistane of infestation.
