Three advance generation selections. viz. HB/82–36, HB/82–372, EB/A-304 and cv. Kufri Jyoti were evaluatcd during 1991 and 1992 crop seasons for rate of tuberization, late blight resistance and tuber yield at 80, 95 and 125 days after planting (DAP). All the three hybrids were superior to Kufri Jyoti. The pattern of yield and its components suggested that EB/A-304 is a late bulker and other genotypes have early bulking habit. Among the carly bulkers HB/82–372 was the best and EB/A-304 gave the highest yields at 125 DAP and was suited for long duration (late harvest) crop.
