Effect of four fertility levels viz. combinations of two levels each of ‘NPK’ (recommended and 33% higher than the recommended) and zinc (0 and 25 kg ZnSO4/ha) was studied on growth and yield of potato cv. Kufri Badshah over two years. Higher dose of NPK significantly increased plant height and foliage weight, while zinc application significantly improved foliage weight only. Tuber number per hill and total as well as the yield of large size tubers was significantly higher with higher doses of ‘NPK’ and zinc, both these factors significantly improved dry matter content of tubers also. Higher dose of NPK significantly increased NPK content of foliage as well as tubers while zinc had no effect.
