Seven TPS (true potato seed) progenies were evaluated at Faizabad (U.P.) during 1991–92 and 1992–93. HPS 7/67 (389 m−2) followed by 83P47 × TPS/B-57 (332 m−2) produced maximum number of tubers and yielded maximum of 32.59 and 31.01 t ha−1, respectively. Tuber production cost varied in the range of Rs. 1559 to 1909 per tonne with highest and lowest yielding progenies.
