Abstract

A field experiment was carried out during 1993–95 with four levels of nitrogen i.e. 0, 80, 160 and 240 kg/ha and four levels of potassium i.e. 0, 60, 120 and 180 kg/ha on potato cv. Kurfri Badshah. Increasing levels of N and K showed tangible impact on growth and tuber yield. Maximum tuber yield of 45.0 and 37.3 t/ha was recorded with 240 kg N and 180 kg K2O/ha, respectively. Interaction effect of 240 kg N × 60 kg K2O/ha proved to be more responsive and produced maximum yield of 45.8 t/ha in 1993–94 and 47.9 t/ha in 1994–95.
