A comparative study was carried out under different agro-ecological conditions of India with an objective of evaluating the field perforlnance of seedlings vs seedling tubers of three hybrid TPS (true potato seed) families as propagating materials for potato production. Except at Agartala, the overall tuber yield and percentage marketable yield (fraction>20g in size) were significantly higher from seedling tubers than seedlings.
