Abstract

In a field study on the effect of split application of varying levels of NPK nutrient uptake, starch and tuber yield of potato revealed that two equal split doses of 100 per cent recommended dose of NPK with Azopirillum and phosphobacterium recorded maximum tuber yield (20.69 t/ha) and NPK uptake. Soil available NPK and startch content were increased by basal application of 100% recommended dose of NPK in combination with Azospirillum and phosphobacterium.
