Effect of salinity and phosphorus on growth and yield of potato cv. Kufri Sutlej

Abstract

Pot studies on potato cv. Kufri Sutlej revealed that sprout emergence of tubers was delayed by about 10 days at salinity level of 10 dSm-1 ECe as compared to control. The growth and yield parameters were delayed and reduced with increase in the level of salinity. Application of phosphorous was found beneficial in reducing the adverse effect of salinity.
