Abstract

The addition of a sugarcane factory waste (maili) or SFW increased the biomass of green manure crop (Sesbania sp.) significantly and improved organic carbon and available N, P, K status of soil. The trend was also followed by aggregate and large sized (>75g) tuber yield of subsequent potato crop. The application of SFW beyond 20 tons/ha had depressing effect on production of seed tubers.
