Six Dutch and two Indian potato cultivars suitable for processing were evaluated for yield under short day conditions of Gangetic alluvial plains of West Bengal. Dutch cv. Cardinal and Indian cv Kufri Chipsona-1 showed higher yield potential over other cultivars. Cardinal (339.4 q/ha), Kufri Chipsona-1 (317.8 q/ha), Diamant (291.8 q/ha) and Kufri Chipsona-2 (253.8 q/ha) produced higher tuber yield over standard cultivar Kufri Jyoti (238.3 q/ha) and appear to be promising for cultivation in WB.
