Effect of combination of pesticides and time of application on their efficacy against potato diseases & pests

Abstract

In potato crop, diseases and insect pests are deeply intermingled. Selected fungicides and insecticides were sprayed alone and in different combinations at different day times to manage diseases and insects simultaneously. Efficacy of fungicides was maximum when sprayed in noon hours. The impact of insecticides was maximum against aphids when sprayed in morning hours while for jassids and white flies, effect was the most when applied at mid day. Proper combination of pesticides and their timely application gave athletic strength to potato crop and increased tuber yield.
