Abstract

Field survey conducted in four districts of Punjab, revealed that heap storage of ware potatoes for 75 to 120 days, is the only on-farm storage method in use to avoid distress sale at harvest. In general, all the farmers got remunerative prices on sale by incurring lower storage costs.
