A field experiment was conducted to study the response of irrigated (sprinkler) potato to balanced NPK fertilization and FYM on neutral soil of Lahual valley of Himachal Pradesh. Results revealed that increasing levels of N, P, K in the presence of FYM 15 t/ha linearly increased yield and nutrient uptake. Application of N, P, K (150 + 150 + 100 kg/ha) + FYM 15 t/ha gave highest tuber (377 q/hal and haulm (87 q/ha) yields which corresspond to 156 and 84 per cent increase, respectively over control. The respective increase in total N, P K uptake was 208, 48 and 303 kg/ha. The available P content of the soil increased under all the treatments except control.
