Abstract

Evaluation of neem oil, neem seed kernel extract 10%, pongamia oil, ethephonprox 0.02% and methyl demeton 0.25% in combination with phorate 1.0 kg a.i./ha was done to study their efficacy against potato aphid, Myzus persicae for the purpose of seed potato crop. Application of phorate 1.0 kg a.i./ha followed by two sprays of ethephonprox 0.02 per cent, neem kernel extract 10 per cent and neem oil 0.5 per cent were found effective in keeping the population of Myzus persicae below critical level. Virus incidence in these treatments was also less.
