Abstract

A red-skin hybrid (MS/92-2105) was identified giving highest total and marketable tuber yields among the advanced generation red-skin hybrids evaluated in West Central Gangetic plains along with exotic/ indigenous red-skin and white-skin late blight resistant varieties. This hybrid is having attractive ovat tubers, higher dry matter (20.9%) and better keeping quality under on-farm storage. It is expected to replace the existing late blight susceptible red-skin varieties in West-central plains.
