Intervention based study was conducted in the state of Meghalaya to ascertain potato farmers' perception of TPS technology and also to delineate the constraints as perceived by them in large scale adoption of TPS. Findings revealed that majority of the farmers' perceived TPS technology as labour intensive (more than 55%), require more care (45%) and low input as compared to the seed tuber (60%). Similarly, majority of the farmers rated TPS technology as superior (52.50%). Delicate and succulent seedlings, intensive care required at seedling stage, more labour needed at the time of transplanting and also the irregular tuber shape were the constraints perceived by more than 80 percent of the farmers In large scale adoption of TPS technology.
