The use of in vitro plantlets for production of pre-basic seed potatoes was evaluated in order to assess the appropriate planting density under polyhouse condition. In vifro plantlets of cv. Kufri Giriraj were planted in three-plant densities viz., 25, 36 and 81 m−2. Percent survival across all the densities was appreciably high (93.5–99.6). The number of compound leaves, tubers per plant and average tuber weight varied significantly in different plant densities.
