Abstract

A field experiment was conducted during rabi seasons of 1993–94 to 1995–96 with three levels of inter and intra row spacings in Factorial Randomized Block Design with four replications. The inter row spacing of 40 cm gave significantly higher total as well as <25g and 25–50 g sized tuber yield, however, the total tuber yield was at par with the 50 cm inter row spacing. Similarly closer intra row spacing of 10 cm gave significantly higher weight of total and other grades of tubers except large sized (>50 g) compared to wider spacing. The highest net return was obtained with 50 × 15 cm and the net leBR with 50 × 20 cm inter and intra row spacing.
