Abstract

The results of first year seed production in Jalalabad, Afghanistan during autumn season were promising. The growth and health standard of the crop was good. The population of aphids was below thresh-hold level during crop growing period. The seed produced in Jalalabad through improved management practices was sent to mid and high hills for further multiplication in spring season. The produce of spring season will be provided to farmers in both hills and plains to produce good quality potatoes.
