Abstract

A tractor operated, mounted type Blade-Harrow to expose the left-over tubers after harvesting, has been developed. It is a low cost, light weight, high capacity and low draft equipment, that can be operated with a 25 HP tractor. It was found to expose about 77.5% of the left-over tubers in fields with light salls, after mechanical digging and manual picking. It was found to perform better than the conventional tiller presently used for this purpose.
