The response of potato cv. Kufri Jyoti to individual and combined inoculation of Azotobacter chroococcum, Acetobacter diazotrophicus and Pseudomonas striata was studied under field condition during Kharif 2002–03 at Agriculture Research Station, Madenur, Hassan (Karnataka). Combined inoculation of both Azotobacter chroococcum and Pseudomonas striata showed significant effect on increasing percent emergence of tubers, number of tubers, tuber weight per plant, total tuber yield and marketable tuber yield. Dual inoculation and 50 per cent NPK fertility was found best in obtaining economically higher potato yield.
