Abstract

Potatoes from main (October planted), late (November planted) and spring (January planted) crops, grown in north-western plains, were put to on-line testing in a commercial potato chips manufacturing unit for quality testing. Kufri Chandramukhi from main season, Kufri Chipsona-1 and Kufri Chipsona-2 from main and late season and Atlantic from spring season produced most acceptable quality chips comparable to the chips produced from main crop from Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh.
