Effect of fertilizers and residue incorporation on soil fertility in potato based cropping system

Potato crop removes high quantity of potash, medium of nitrogen and less phosphorus. Green manuring with soybean, application of recommended dose of NPK and residiue incorporation of potato and wheat crop improved organic carbon content (0.24–0.34%) and available P of soil (58–80 ppm). Nutrient depletion of soil may be averted by adopting green manuring and residue incorporation in addition to inorganic fertilization.
