All the weed control treatments tried significantly controlled weeds and reduced their dry wt. as compared to weedy check. Weed control efficiency as well as tuber yield decreased with delay in application of herbicides. All the weed control treatments (except thiazopyr 0.24, linuron 1.0 and pendimethalin 1.5 kg/ha each applied 21 DAP) recorded significantly higher yield as compared to weedy check. Linuron 1.0 kg/ha applied 7 DAP recorded highest tuber yield during both the years (260.6 and 317.8 q/ha) closely followed by metribuzin 0.5 kg/ha applied 7 DAP (260.0 and 317.0 q/ha).
